Senior Automation Test Engineer

Job overview and responsibility - Define and own test automation strategy across mobile apps, backend services, and integrations - Design and build scalable, reusable automation frameworks across UI, API, integration, and data layers - Identify high-risk areas and critical user journeys, and ensure they have proper automated coverage - Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI) to enable continuous testing - Analyze test results and drive quality improvements, close coverage gaps proactively - Collaborate with Engineering, QA, and DevOps to improve system reliability and release confidence - Mentor team members through code reviews, pairing, and knowledge sharing - Continuously improve testing processes, frameworks, and tooling Required skills and experiences - 5+ years in test automation, with strong hands-on experience designing automation solutions - Proven experience testing across multiple layers: UI, API, and system integration - Comfortable working in agile, cross-functional product teams - Strong programming skills - Hands-on with automation tools/frameworks: Selenium, Appium, Playwright, Robot Framework, or equivalent - Solid understanding of test automation strategy: test pyramid, risk-based testing, and the boundaries between unit, API, and E2E testing - Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines: Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar - Experience with version control (Git) and modern development workflows - Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills ❌ No Job-Hoping Preferred skills and experiences - Experience testing event-driven systems: Kafka or similar - Experience in microservices architecture - Familiarity with performance testing or test data management - Background in fintech, banking, or high-scale systems - Professional working English Preference will be given to profiles from fintech, tech platform, or large-scale startups.
