Project Leader/ PMO/ BrSE (Japanese N2+)

We are seeking a visionary and technically accomplished AI Architect/ Head of AI to define and execute NECVN's AI strategy, ensure alignment with NEC HQ, and lead the development of innovative AI solutions that deliver measurable value to customers. This role combines strategic leadership with deep technical expertise in artificial intelligence.

RESPONSIBILITIES:Design and architect end-to-end AI/ML solutions, including data pipelines, model training workflows, inference systems, and enterprise integration. Support multiple offshore/ outsourcing AI projects by reviewing technical designs and providing guidance to development teams. Create and lead AI native development scheme based on AI agent for core business area which can be future value Build and optimize AI models (LLM, NLP, Computer Vision, predictive analytics) and develop reusable AI components and microservices. Collaborate with NEC Global teams on technical proposals, system validation, and production deployment. Troubleshoot complex technical issues and support teams throughout the implementation phase. Research emerging AI technologies and contribute to internal best practices, frameworks, and reusable assets. Mentor junior members and support capability development within NEC Vietnam.

REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, or a related field. Minimum 8 - 10 years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years of deep specialization in AI. At least 3 years of experience managing AI teams and collaborating with international partners. Experience supporting diverse client projects in offshore/ outsourcing environments. Strong experience in ML/DL, Generative AI, LLM fine-tuning, RAG, and MLOps. Proficiency with Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, Hugging Face, LangChain, CrewAI, vector databases, and cloud AI platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP). Solid understanding of system architecture, microservices, distributed systems, and data engineering. Hands-on experience deploying AI solutions in enterprise production environments. Proven ability to lead and mentor technical teams, manage cross-functional projects, and drive innovation. Strong strategic thinking and decision-making skills, with a business-oriented mindset. Project Monitoring & Analysis Review project progress, delivery status, quality metrics, and project documentation to obtain an objective view of project health. Analyze project data, reports, schedules, defect trends, issue logs, and other project indicators to identify potential risks, quality concerns, or process gaps. Monitor compliance with agreed project processes, quality standards, and customer

Quality & Governance Support Identify delivery risks, quality issues, process weaknesses, and operational challenges that may impact project outcomes. Raise observations, concerns, and improvement recommendations based on project data and evidence. Provide insights and suggestions to offshore teams and customers on improving project quality, risk management, development processes, and delivery transparency. Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying recurring issues, lessons learned, and best practices across projects. Reporting & Stakeholder Communication Consolidate and analyze information from multiple project sources to prepare project monitoring reports and governance summaries. Provide objective updates regarding project status, quality trends, risk indicators, and areas requiring management attention. Present findings, observations, and recommendations to project stakeholders in a clear and professional manner. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in software development projects, including at least 3 years as PMO/ Project Leader/ BrSE.

Good understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), project governance, software quality management, and delivery processes.

Experience analyzing project status, delivery quality, project risks, and development metrics.

Familiarity with Waterfall and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Experience working with Japanese customers in offshore development environments.

Proficiency in Japanese (JLPT N2 or above).

Experience in web-based systems using Java (Spring), Angular.

Banking domain knowledge is a plus.

PMP, ACP, ISTQB, or equivalent certifications are advantageous.
