Data Analyst

Purpose of the position The Data Analyst Intern supports the Control Tower’s reporting and data governance function under the guidance of an assigned mentor/supervisor. The internship provides hands-on exposure to the end-to-end daily reporting operation — assisting with report preparation, data validation, and dashboard maintenance — as well as data analytics and process improvement work, while working alongside experienced team members who retain ownership and final accountability for all customer-facing deliverables Main Duties &

Responsibilities:1. Daily Reporting Support (Under Supervision)

Assist the dedicated PIC in preparing and quality-checking the recurring daily reports before distribution to customers and their respective freight forwarders (FFW).

Help maintain the distribution tracker covering report types, audience lists, formats, cutoff times, and delivery confirmation status.

Support data quality checks by flagging missing, incomplete, or inconsistent data to the PIC and Control Tower Operations under guidance.

Assist with combining validated/updated data into the reporting system/dashboard once corrections are confirmed by Control Tower Operations.

Shadow the PIC on coordination with Control Tower Operations to learn the data validation and follow-up process. 2. Reporting & Data Analytics (Learning & Support)

Support the development and maintenance of reports and dashboards under guidance.

Help check data accuracy and consistency across reporting outputs.

Assist with basic data analysis to identify trends or anomalies, with supervisor review.

Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities for reporting enhancements. 3. Process Improvement & System Optimization (Exposure)

Assist in documenting existing workflows and SOPs.

Support testing of new or enhanced system functionalities under supervision.

Help identify and log process improvement ideas for review by the team. 4. Stakeholder Engagement & Support (Supervised)

Provide basic analytical and reporting support to the team as assigned.

Participate in training and knowledge-sharing sessions.

Support cross-functional coordination tasks (e.g., with IT) under supervision.

Skills and Specification (Refer Recruitment) · Good communication skills in Business English (written and spoken). · Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field. · No prior professional experience required; relevant coursework, academic projects, or extracurricular exposure to data or analytics is a plus. · Basic proficiency in Excel; willingness to learn Power BI, SQL, or similar tools on the job. · Strong attention to detail and willingness to work with repetitive, deadline-driven daily tasks. · Able to commit to a consistent daily schedule for the duration of the internship (minimum duration to confirm). · Reliable, coachable, and comfortable asking questions or escalating issues to the supervisor.
